When asked about this project, Shelley shared some insights: “I had this leftover quilted lining from my Chaval Coat, so I decided to use the School Days Jacket pattern, incorporating the quilted under-vest design but adding sleeves. To ensure it would fit properly, I widened the center-front slightly to allow for overlap with snaps.â€
Of course, no toddler garment is complete without pockets, so Shelley added the charming gathered pockets from the Puppet Show Shorts to the front. While she admits pleather bias binding wasn’t ideal due to its challenging nature, the overall result remains undeniably cute, quick, and easy to create.
