Jiangsu Textile Industry Increased 5.2% in January-February

From January to February of this year, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size in Jiangsu Province increased by 10.7% year-on-year, which was more than 2% higher than that of the entire country and the eastern region. Data show that in the first two months of this year, the output value of the eight major industrial sectors in Jiangsu Province increased by 9.2%. Among them, the textile industry grew by 5.2%.

From January to February, Jiangsu's light and heavy industry grew by 9.1% and 11.3% respectively; of which, foreign-funded enterprises have improved, with the growth rate and percentage accounting for 9.9% and 36.8%, respectively, 1.5 and 0.3 percentage points higher than last year respectively; All provinces and municipalities in Jiangsu Province achieved growth, with 11 growing by more than 10%.
