Due to the continuous rainfall affecting daily operations, the sales of "cotton-silk" fabric in China Textile City have picked up significantly, and prices have fully reversed from previous trends. The main representative of 32S × 32S, 66 × 66 cotton-silk fabric has seen a steady decline in the price of traditional gray cloth, leading to a drop in finished product prices. For example, small batches of a few thousand meters are now sold at around 6.10 yuan per meter, while smaller quantities of a few hundred meters are priced at approximately 6.15 yuan per meter. Another variety, 30S × 30S, 68 × 68, is being sold at about 7.50 yuan per meter for small orders and slightly lower at 7.40 yuan per meter for larger volumes.
Varieties such as 30S × 68 carved printing "cotton silk," 30S × 68 embroidery "cotton silk," and 30S × 68 carved embroidery "cotton silk" have also experienced price reductions, with some promotions and discounts available. Notably, the carved embroidery "artificial cotton" fabric saw the biggest drop, with prices falling by as much as 0.50 yuan per meter. Comparing prices before and after the Dragon Boat Festival, it's clear that the overall price of carved embroidery varieties has dropped by 1.00 yuan per meter.
In contrast, "cotton" fabrics have been less affected by the weather conditions. Market activity has increased, with more efforts focused on promotional activities. While export sales to countries like Pakistan and Vietnam remain strong, domestic demand has started to slow down as the off-season approaches. Prices across the board have begun to fall, and certain fabric types, such as fragmented or those with longer market cycles, have intensified their promotional strategies to boost sales. This shift reflects a broader trend of inventory clearance and competitive pricing in response to changing market dynamics.
